Out and about on a nature walk

Printed from: https://finalhbks.asgoodasready.com/nature-activities/out-and-about-on-a-nature-walk/

Everywhere you look when you’re outdoors in a green area, there’ll be creepy crawlies, wildlife, and beautiful plants and flowers. They’re all part of the natural world. So take some of it back with you to remind you of your visit (but please don’t pick anything – only collect things that have fallen to the ground).

The next time you’re walking around the school grounds, or your local park or woodland, collect some fallen petals, twigs, pine cones, and other things that have fallen to the ground (but leave the animals and insects behind!).

When you get back to school, find a small place in the grounds to recreate the area you have just taken a walk in. If any of the twigs have buds on them, keep them watered and watch the buds burst into life.
